The Day of the Lord

Below I share with you, 1 Thessalonians 5, taken from the Scriptures, with the Biblegateway site as reference.

"Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, 'Peace and safety,' destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who work hard among you, who care for you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work. Live in peace with each other. And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always strive to do what is good for each other and for everyone else.

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

Brothers and sisters, pray for us. Greet all God's people with a holy kiss. I charge you before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers and sisters.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

The Seventh Seal

Back here again! This time let's take a look at the Seventh Seal mentioned in Revelation of the Holy Scriptures (as revealed to Saint John while he was in prison)

The First Trumpet

"... A third of the earth was burned up, a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up." - Revelation 8:7

The Second Trumpet

"... a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed." - Revelation 8:9

The Third Trumpet

" the name of  the star is Wormwood (blazing like torch that fell from the sky). A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter." Revelation 8:11

The Fourth Trumpet

"The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them turned dark, - A third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night." - Revelation 8:12

The Fifth Trumpet

"... a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth... given the key to the shaft of Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss.

And out of the smoke locust came down upon the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of  the earth.

They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.

They were not given power to kill them, but only to torture them for five moths". - Revelation 9: 1-5

"The locust looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces." - Revelation 9:7

"They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon." - Revelation 9:11

The Sixth Trumpet

"It is said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, 'Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."

And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.

The number of mounted troops were two hundred millions. I heard this number." - Revelation 9:14-16

"And the rest of mankind that were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshipping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood - idols that cannot see or hear or walk."

"Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts." - Revelation 9:20,21

The Seventh Trumpet

The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:

"The kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever."

"And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worship God, saying:

We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.

The nations were angry; and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great - and for destroying those who destroy the earth."

Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his tempe was seen the Ark of his Covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm. -
Revelation 11: 16-19

"A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. - Revelation 12:1

"She gave birth to a son, a male child who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne."- Revelation 12:5

"And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven."

"The great dragon was hurled down - that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan, who leads the world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." - Revelation 12:7-9

Keep That Faith

 Keep That Faith!

The Pen will keep going for as long as God himself let it be, through Google, of course. Why I say this? Let me tell you then.

I notice that this blog reaches places I dont even expect them to reach that far. But then, something in my heart that actually has been running in my mind for some time, "Keep Going! Let me reach through you my love for your brothers and sisters all over the earth, for as much as I love you." It might sound weirdo of me or just being so imaginative that you can tag me, I dont care. I just believe that I do not own anything, not even my life. But my owner is my Creator. My Lord. My God. He has given us the talents to use them for what he ought us to do in according to His plans. So better obey and be blessed.

This article is being written, right after I have posted, A Prayer To End A Day.

Everytime I visit my blog and see my last post of the Prayer To Begin A Day, the next question was: what about to end the day? Of course, I just shake my head and telling myself, "of course!" Haha. But then, I had not set myself to write in this blog. Then I visit the blog's statistics showing me the places where it has reached, at least, once. And my heart was touched, I almost wanted to cry. I have read about those places, which I chose not to mention but keep it to myself.

I love reading, a lot. That includes the news all over the world. I have been more interested on how people live and how is their lives and beliefs if possible, in every corner of the world my internet service can reach. Most especially, of course, religiously. Then, forget them all anyway, especially when they are so discouraging and finding more and more people are lost.

Sometimes, I can even imagine how lonely is the Lord's face and how God, the Father, must have been hurt by alll that He can see on earth, on all His creations. But then, it isn't good to feel miserable on that. For there is the Lord who has said: "Behold! I conquer the world!". So, that's enough to give joy.

Below I share with a verse in  1 Corinthians 10:13

"Every test that you have experienced is the kind that normally comes to people. But God keeps His promise, He will not allow you to be tested beyond your power to remain firm; at the time you are put to test, He will give you the strength to endure it, and so provide wtih a way out."

So if you find yourself in any situation of doubts, discouragements and losing self confidence, Take A Pause. Remember what Jesus has said and feel like Popeye, taking you spinach, to strengthen yourself again and Put That Smile back on your face, for PEACE, our Lord never leaves your heart and you're so lucky to find it out once again.

As Harriet Beecher Stowe has said:

"When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, NEVER GIVE UP then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.

There you go the strikes of my fingers on my computer buttons the message of love of the Lord, our God.

Sing out any pain if you can. "Where there is no anguish in the heart, there will be no great music on the lips." Those aren't my lines, but of of Karl Barth. Who is he? Who knows? Ask Google. haha.

So, if you cannot sing, TRY SMILING!

                                                        TRY  SMILING

                    When the weather suits you not, Try Smiling;

                    When your heart is aching, Try Smiling;

                    When your friends don't do you right, Try Smiling;

                    Doesn't change the things, of course, Try Smiling;

But it cannot make them worst, Just Smiling

And it seems to help your case brighten a gloomy place

It surely brightens your face, Just Smiling.

Well, that's good advice isn't it? Unfortunately, the author was unknown to me. But to Try Smiling, is known to me as I have always tried to look for something funny as much as I can in everything so as to avoid wrinkles.

KEEP SMILING!

Always here with you,

Prayer To End A Day

As each day has started, it ends as well. It ended to give way to a new beginning. Here below, I share with you, A Prayer to End A Day. This is taken as well from a Marian Prayer Book.

Dear Lord,

As the brilliant colors of the sunset deepen and fade into the horizon, my day of activity fades as well. I cherish these quiet moments when I can reflect upon my day--how it began, and how it evolved, and what I made of the situations that came my way.

I am grateful that my loved ones have had this day together, with ample food and shelter, and with the love of one another to lighten the day's burdens and magnify the day's joys.

May we truly forgive one another's failings--the unkind words or forgotten thank you--that are not so important in the long run.

May I have the courage to discuss the things that are important to my friends and relatives.

I thank You for all the experiences this day has brought.  May I remember the good moments on future days when I need a positive boost.

Help me to grow past my mistakes and to develop strength for future challenges.

As the darkness closes in around me, Lord, I ask You to bless and protect my home and all who are dear to me.

May You enfold me in the peace of Your everlasting light as You did for Your mother, Mary.

Amen.

Have a good and peaceful sleep to all.

Oh Feet!

Hi Again!

As we are on Holy Week, here below I share with you, The Great Praise of the Martyrs as uttered by the great Saint Cyprian as showed on ETWN Rome's Hidden Churches - a Lenten pilgrimage, narrated by Dr. Timothy O'Donnell, President of Christendom College (Eternal City - Rome)

The Great Praise of the Martyrs

Oh Feet, blessedly bound which are guided to paradise,

            in the way of salvation.

Oh Feet, bound for the present time in the world that

they may be always free with the Lord.

Oh Feet, lingering for a while among the fetters and

crossbars, but to run quickly to Christ on a glorious

            road.

Let cruelty, envious or malignant, hold you here in its

bonds and chains as long as it will.

From this earth and from these sufferings, you shall

speedily come to the Kingdom of Heaven.

The body is not cherished in the mind with couch

            and cushions.

But it is cherished with the refreshment and solace of

            Christ.

The frame, weary with labors, lies  on the ground.

But it is no disgrace to lie down with Christ.

Your limbs, unbathed and foul, and disfigured with

            filth.

But within they are spiritually cleansed,

            though the flesh is defiled.

There the bread is scarce, but men liveth not by bread

            alone,

but by the Word of God, shivering, you want clothing.

But he who puts on Christ is abundantly clothed and

            adorned forever.

Prayer To Begin A Day

Each day is a New Day. A new beginning. Here below, I share with you a prayer. This is taken from a Marian Prayer Book I have kept and used for a long time.

Dear Lord,

This day stretches out before me like a quiet ocean, calm and clean and potent with possibility as I sing out the words of Mary, "My soul Magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior."

Help me to make the most of the beauty and opportunity within this day. I offer it to You through the following affirmations, confident that if I live what they contain I will have lived the day well.

I believe the Lord loves and remains with me at all times.

I believe the Lord provides for my earthly needs.

I believe the Lord cannot fail in anything He undertakes.

I believe I play a unique, important role in the Lord's plan.

I believe the Lord guides me to know His will.

I believe the Lord gives me all the strength I need in times of difficulty.

I believe good will come from all situations I meet today.

I love all in and of the world and beyond, nothing can harm me.

I develop my talents, resources, and abilities to their best use.

I turn over to the Lord whatever I cannot change and set realistic goals to change whatever I can.

I structure my day to include a balance of work, play, rest, and spiritual development.

I strive to live this day humbly, resisting the urge to belittle others or to compare myself to them, realizing the presence of God within us all.

Amen.

God bless you today and everyday!

Steal ME Not

Woe to you!!

I said that to whoever has been trying to steal this blog's account password as warned by Google itself. Anyway, is there really "someone" doing that or it's but "Artificial"? HaHa

Could it be because we are reaching more places? Well then, Welcome!  Hope Google's Translator is doing well, if not the Best, on its job.

Whatever, God is watching! He never sleeps. He never take a break. Always Attentive. Remember that.

Having a blog like this is so easy. It is even free from Google service. Why not HAVE SOME PATIENCE to learn, try and have one yourself. Let me tell you, you will even be guided how to do this. so come on, "deja de romper".

Hello Everyone!

This post is supposed to be my 2026 first one. This is just a WELCOME TO THE PEN 2026!

I don't promise you'll always have one. Since I would never stop writing for as long as my fingers aren't stiffened, I will continue. Stay tuned then.

A new year has started. The old one just left. Bye bye 2025! Hello 2026!

Here now, I will share with you one of my Motivational Boosters.Haha. Whatever was done, was done. Whatever the result, results into TWO, always. No other, but, the GOOD or BAD.

With the GOOD, no problem. It was RIGHT, that's why it was GOOD. With the BAD, whatta a problem. It was BAD, that's why it was WRONG. Whatever is WRONG is the MISTAKE. The BAD. Whatever is RIGHT is the CHOICE.  The GOOD,

I believe, when we choose to be GOOD, we chose GOD. For only GOD IS GOOD.

Jesus has said it, isn't it? In what verse was it? Well, I'll leave it to you to check.

Now, here it is, the value of PERSISTENCE.

                                                    PERSISTENCE...

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence.

Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

Genius will not; unrewarded genious is almost a proverb.

Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

Thank you, Calvin Coolidge, por sharing to the world your definition of Persistence.

The famous, Edgar Cayce, has said:

"Be not overcome with those things that make for discouragements, for HE (GOD) will supply the strength."

"Ask and it shall be given. Knock and the door shall be opened..." and so on as Jesus promised it will be.

Have faith! "You with little faith..." Go for it, to have it. Believe in yourself, but FIRST OF ALL, believe in God.

 Happy 2026!!
