Live For Today

Sometimes there are happy days
that we anticipate,
And then time seems to pass so slowly
we can hardly wait.
Then when we think of happy days
that we've already spent,
It seems that time has passed so fast,
we wonder where it went,
But, if, instead of looking
back and forth so much that way
And never really noticing
the beauty of today -
If we would simply try to make
the most of every minute,
Try to put a little bit
of love and laughter in it,
We won't have to look ahead
or to the past to see
Just how very happy
every day we live can be.
