A Creator's Creed

To My Beloved Readers,

Both The Pen blog and Simple - Me page, whose creator is yours truly, one and the same, would like to extend our heartful appreciations to
your support, patience and understanding.

When life gets tough, stormy or boring, grab The Pen and a paper. Write. Create. Make life Simple, then signed it Me.

A pen will support your tough grab without complains, and can be replaced when it breaks.

A paper or notebook can witness your struggles against the storm, just like a boat, which you will be the captain to decide if you keep the boat once the storm is over or let it be won over by the storm, just like the paper or notebook torn into pieces or to the trash.

I bet you. It is an alternative to therapy especially if you dont have money to pay it.

Write your pains and sorrows; your joy and happiness, for life consists only of those two things. So make life Simple. Then, make a claim to your self that its pains and joys; its sorrows and happiness, ALL depends on how Me has handled them.

Smile and the world smiles with you. Cry and you cry alone, only if you choose to. Grab the Book of Scriptures, search the company of God, and write to Him your pains and happiness. For sometimes, kneeling to pray has been forgotten in one's mind out of pride and deceiving life.

Last but not the least, The Pen and being Simple - Me, as you navigate tough and stormy moments can also be your savior from boredom.

Write and Create. Be productive in the midst of boredom. It can help against degenerative effects of aging to the mind. That's how I understand the experts reports on the matter.

But I do urge you. While you breath, live. While you live, enjoy life your own way.

Have a New Year of blessings. God loves us, never forget that.

Always,

Simple - Me/The Pen

Christmas Greet 2024

 "In Joy" it anyway!

We have to remember we are never alone. We admit or reject it, God is always around.

Jesus was born. The Son of God was born on a date proclaimed for us. That is but the Greatest Gift we could ever had.

So, no matter what our situation is or the condition of the world we live in, celebrate Christmas "In Joy" anyway.

Smile. Greet. Celebrate. Sing. Dance. Hear music. PRAY!

I wish you ALL a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

The Pen.

Believed 4

Round One  : Believed
Round Two  : Believed 2
Round Three: Believed 3

Believed 4

The pen on top the writer's table by the window has called on him again.

"Called on me?"

He smiled to himself while deep inside relishing his friendly relationship with his pen.

"Back to work "

He could imagine those words from his friend The pen.

It was afternoon. A beautiful day. The sun hasn't set itself yet, but soon it would be completely. So the writer grabbed the pen and paper to continue Jeremiah's story.

Peter adopted Jeremiah as his father. Though he was put in their Home for the Aged as instructed by his father, Jesus, they have treated each other like father and son.

To Peter, Jeremiah has the characteristics similar to the father he lost. While Jeremiah found a family in him, especially when he met Peter's widowed grandmother.

Living in The Home for the Aged, Jeremiah has recovered himself. His new encounters with good people has helped him a lot in personal growth and learning. The most that has helped him was Peter's grandmother.

"Congratulations!"

The writer remembered the last time he imagined Jeremiah in his vision for writing the continuation of his story.

"Thank you."

Jeremiah has been responding and shaking hands with all the invited guest to his wedding. He finally got married again. This time with Peter's grandmother.

Before that, he saw Jeremiah in the cemetery. He was in front of the tombs of his mother, wife and son.

This time he was not crying anymore but happily giving them his good news.

The writer tried to go back what had exactly happened to them.

Jeremiah was an only son. He grew up from a rich family. His father died of heart attack after he got married in his late twenties. Though Jeremiah wasn't ready to take over the family business, he was able to handle it with his mother's help.

The family business was doing good, until Jeremiah got himself hooked to gambling five years before he reached his fifties.

His mother, wife and son decided to leave him and go to live abroad where the relatives of his mother lives. Unfortunately, they all died in the plane crash. Since then, Jeremiah could not forgive himself until he lost everything and found himself a street beggar till he met Jesus after more than ten years.

"Mother, I have a good news. I'll marry again."

The writer heard him saying so as he walked passed behind him. Then let him alone with his loved ones.

In his last vision of Jeremiah for his story, he was so happy. It was his wedding day.

But then, at the present moment he found him in his story, he was in his coffin. Judging on his facial expression, he was happy. He sensed a smile in his lips. Then the little notebook, which turned out to be a diary, was held by him closed to his heart.

He asked the administrator of the Home for the Aged for permission to read it. In its cover says, Someone Special.

The administrator, the lady featured in his story The Backpackers, came to stand beside him.

"My dear Jeremiah. You could not stand the death of your wife due to her cancer that you yourself suffered the heart attack. But look! You seemed happy!

What a beautiful life you had with her and her as the nanny of this diary author.

Rest in peace, grandpa. "

The writer turned to her, but she was already gone before he could ask for more about Jeremiah.

So he looked finally at Jeremiah.

"There we end your story, Jeremiah. Rest with God."

Then the writer closed The Writer Series 8. Believed.

That Someone Special

That Someone Special

One day I realized and understood that That Someone Special to me was A Good Brother and friend. The very best friend anyone could ever have.

Jesus is his name. The name God has chosen.

Having Him in my life is like walking along the beach on early mornings. Talking to him like a child with the hand held tight by him and begged him all the time not to ever let it go. Afraid of losing him and not to find the way back.

Now, Jesus as a friend is someone more than anyone else. He is The Best. Simply the Best.

First, He is Truth.

Talking to him by praying, telling him your troubles, he will respond the best way to get you through. But only you would understand it better than anyone else. For all it takes is self honesty. The truth itself.

When you're lost in the midst of fake or wrong friendship, for example, he accompanies you and takes care of your awakening when the moment of truth must arrived. It means, you might be shocked and not believe a betrayal, but you could probably say it didn't surprise you at all after analyzing the issue from beginning to end. Just like any other kind of relationship.

Second, He is the Light.

To search for the light is to realize the presence of darkness. To be in darkness is to be lost, for you don't see the way that a the light could provide.  Once you call God for help, He lits up himself in your darkness, then points you to the Way, which is His Son. Rejoice and go on to it and walk righteously so as not to lose it ever again.

God has sent Jesus. He dwells on him. So God came through His Son. For they are One with the Holy Spirit. May we call it God, The Father in heaven, the Son of God or the Son of Man, as well as The Holy Spirit, are all the same One. So imagine the Light they could give.

Through Jesus, the Words of God have been revealed to his disciples and people who heard him then. After he died, the Words were scriptured for the next generations. For in the Holy Scriptures there lies the Light.

Reading the Holy Scripture or the Bible is hearing from God and learning from His Son.

Third, He is a Best Friend.

Jesus as a brother is a friend as well. How he is as a friend were relayed by his chosen friends.

Based on Jesus friends, I have always believed that "In a dozen friends, one is always a traitor."
So when it happens to me or anyone, it becomes easier to digest. If it happens to a Blessed Son of God, why not to us, his brothers and sisters who are hoping to be blessed like him. This only proves that "only" in Jesus, a best friend can be found without doubts.

Fourth, He is The Way.

No one can see the Father but through Him, Jesus himself, for He is the Only Way. And the Father has sent him, His Son, to be the Only Way.

The Son of God would never ever be revealed or be known if it wasn't God's will. He himself is the Message. He purchased the reward of eternal life for those who believed and followed him through obeying the laws of God. His Commandments.

The Gospels of Jesus disciples reveals about him, teaches and guides how to be like him and follow him as they have done. Jesus sent them in two's to preach the Good News to the whole world. The good news that God has sent His Son to forgive sins and receive the reward of eternal life through His death and resurrection.

Most of all, He is the Son of God. He was given the name, JESUS.

Amen.

Believed 3

Round One  : Believed
Round Two  : Believed 2

Believed 3

"In our lives, there is always someone special. That "one" who gives our lives a special meaning. That "special meaning" of how that one represents us as we go on in our lives; whether we like it or not or whatever comes and goes in our entire life."

The writer started writing those words taken  from a diary.

"I must admit that writing this topic isn't easy. At the moment of writing, my heart is full of many things to share, but my mind can't find the right words to explain them."

The diary continued and the writer kept on writing the third part of his series titled Believed.

"Let me tell you", he could imagined the owner of the diary was telling him as he continued reading.

" I could not really tell when, where and what makes me say and believe that I have a "friendship with Jesus"

I learn about him in my childhood. I am lucky enough to be born in a family of christians and believers in God and His Son.

Faith and calmness, if ever I have it or wherever I got it, I got them from my father. He was a kind of man I have always admired. Not that he was perfect. But who is perfect on earth? I said "was" because I lost him to heaven years ago.

My mother was the David in my life. Her faith and warrior strength I compared to this king of the bible. My mother was a lioness!Ha!Ha!

My elder sister has introduced me the New Testament and Jesus. God bless her as she has always been and may it be all through her life. You see, if God has a plan, he has his people and movements like in a chessboard.

Finally my nanny, she was the best. I still remember and would maybe never forget how she used to calm down my nerves as a child, whenever I questioned the "whys" of people's actions. I was maybe around seven years of age.

She used to explain to me how to understand why people do what they do. She reads me lines in bible books as if I can understand what she's talking about. However,  the final of it all was always to believe "God is watching." It was that.

Also, she made it a point I attend a christian mass celebration on Sundays, church was just few walks away anyway.

To incite me more, she had inspired me to go with another girl, whose house was along the way to the church. I could still remember her name, Luningning.

So my nanny took care of my spiritual life's needs and my mother, of my real life. Thus, she sent me to attend masses on a clean, white dress and a white crocheted veil on my head.

I can still remember my mother's joyful eyes every time she buys me a new veil and she loves to see me wearing one. Though my nanny, a  christian as she was, just shrugged her shoulders about it. While me on my side, I was laughing inside me enjoying the differences of their tastes.

I remembered to feel like an angel in those dress and in my mind, "I am going to the house of God."

That was all in the diary kept by Jeremiah close to his heart when the writer found him again to continue the series.

The diary was titled in its front page, "Jesus becomes my Someone Special".

The writer read it when he found Jeremiah again after leaving him in Believed 2.

He took a deep breath to exhale as he asked the question: " What have been of you, Jeremiah?"
